The Creator

Conceptually it is cool, but so is almost any Sci-Fi world. The story is where this movie falls apart. It is paradoxically predictable and nonsensical all at once. It is predictable in the sense that an attentive viewer can accurately guess the next phase (whether line or scene) in advance without notice. It is nonsensical in the sense that a critical viewer will realize the world doesn’t make sense. It is not a sin to be predictable, nor is it to tread the line of coherence, but to be both boring to watch and annoying to think about is just too much. Great decor to put on in the background when you don’t care about content.
